Nandi (bull), it is the vahana (vehicle) of Shiva - the god of skies & destruction. Shiva with Nandi is one of the oldest forms of Hindu representation - dating before 3000 BC. The idol is handcrafted by skilled artisans using the white marble and has a plethora of bells around his neck and backside.  He has a carpet over his back that is fully decorated.
