Quilts locally known as Dhabada are hand-made using the Kantha work technique and are a warm thick bed covering kept in place by lines of stitching.

Kantha embroidery was originated with the thought to rescue old clothes and materials to turn them into something new. Kantha a type of embroidered quilt is a centuries-old Bengali art tradition and earlier it was done with soft dhotis and saris, using a simple running stitch on it. This Kantha quilt has a print design on it which gives it a contemporary look.
