Hand woven in Mutwa style embroidery this square multipurpose pouch is attached with a string to lock it. It has geometrical patterns into which colors black, red and orange are filled using satin stitch.
A native craft of Muslim community belonging to the Banni area in Kutch. The Mutwa embroidery includes different stitches like chain, double running and square chain stitch. Their embroidery is very elaborate and their designs are chiefly geometric and floral patterns. Designs are influenced by their surroundings and motifs include flowers, peacocks and parrots.
Also, it has a mandala that has mirrors encased throughout and small flowers around that on red background.
