The Mutwa embroidery includes different stitches like chain, double running, and square chainstitch.Their embroidery is very elaborate and their designs are chiefly geometricalong withfloral patterns. Designs are influenced by their surroundings and motifswhichinclude flowers, peacocks, and parrots.
Also, it has heavy embellishments of mirrors encased throughout and a border at the bottom in red and orange color along with mirrors on maroon background.
