This jar is a kitchen utensil that is used to measure different liquids. In ancient times it was used for the barter system and also by merchants to measure petrol or food sold in liquid form. It has a broad base and it is narrow towards the top. It also has a handle for grip. Nowadays, plastic and electronic machines have replaced this jar but it can be still seen occasionally at few petrol pumps, making it a collectible artefact.
