 Product Description:

The writer would dip the pen (or quill) into the ink well to put more ink on the pen. Because they were set on a desk, ink wells were often used for decorative purposes. An inkwell usually has a lid to prevent contamination, evaporation, accidental spillage, and excessive exposure to air. The ink wells were made up of different materials like brass or glass, size, and designs. This pagoda-shaped heavy inkwell is cast in two parts i.e. the inkwell and the lid.
