Handwoven in Soof style embroidery this short sleeve hip-length; backless blouse has a long front. In this case fragment of the blouse with only the front part can be seen that has angular patterns. Soof is hand embroidery of mysterious origin practiced by women of the Sodha Rajput and Meghwal communities who migrated from Sindh, present-day Pakistan.
Soof artisans work on the reverse of the cloth. Each artisan imagines her whole design first in her mind, and works it out geometrically-in reverse. Counting warp and weft threads, they take stitches along to create exactly angular patterns.
The angular patterns along with its basic motif triangle, the blouse is embroidered using mainly marron, orange, yellow and white thread along with mirrors on a dark green background.
